About this Plog!

My Passion for History and Living History Reenactment has been to learn and educate others on how people lived and survived in the past. I am committed to help preserve history for our children and their children to come. To tell stories of our ancestors that is not known nor told in the history books. I am not a expert on history, so the post here are just what I found on the internet and found to be interesting. You still need to look for more research on your passionate historic topic.

New Jacket!

I just bought this jacket. It will take about 3-4 weeks to get here. I am so excited. I know I should be making my own kit, but time has not been kind to me. I have so many projects going on and time is running out before the reenactment season starts.

This short caraco jacket represents a common form of women's clothing in the 18th century. Worn by working and wealthy women alike, caraco jackets came in many forms and could be made out of almost any fabric that was suitable for gowns. It's a practical and easy garment that adds another option to your wardrobe without a big investment.

This example is made out soft gold linen and lined with natural linen. It is most suitable for representing a common woman's day wear for about 1770-1790.
