About this Plog!

My Passion for History and Living History Reenactment has been to learn and educate others on how people lived and survived in the past. I am committed to help preserve history for our children and their children to come. To tell stories of our ancestors that is not known nor told in the history books. I am not a expert on history, so the post here are just what I found on the internet and found to be interesting. You still need to look for more research on your passionate historic topic.

250th commemoration and re-enactment of the Boston Masssacre.

The Boston Massacre happened on March 5, 1770 and was the first event to spark the American Revolution. Commemorating its 250th Anniversary in 2020.

We ladies watched the conflict from a near by window,to be out of harms way
Ladies of the best families in the town of Boston discuss current events and the recent unrest in the
 occupied city.
Mrs J Hancock invited these ladies to tea to discuss the terrible things that were happening to the town's people because of the presence of the King's soldiers.

Mrs Hancock had her slave servant setup a delightful display of herbal tea and local treats to show her boycott on imports.

Her slave, Agnese, who I portrayed, was allow to stay at the table and listen to the heavy conversation..

18th Centry Wedding Exhibit In Newport

Colonial Wedding Expo

A Newport Historical Society History Space Event

The Newport Historical Society's 2020 winter living history event will feature all aspects of 18th century weddings--from selecting a gown and hair styling, to the sermon and party plans.

I was commissioned by the Mother of the Bride to make more sweet treats to accompany the wedding cake. From 18th century recipes, I prepared a lovely Chocolate Tart and a authentic Wiggs Cakes.
